How hours are logged and what counts

Chamberlain NP students and preceptors record practicum hours and patient encounters in Typhon. Only hours at an approved site, under your approved preceptor, after the affiliation agreement and Complio clearance are in place, count toward the requirement.

We track your logged hours and your preceptor’s sign-offs to the full total, and step in early if a site or a signature is lagging.

Planning so you don’t lose hours

Confirm your exact requirement before the term, line the preceptor and site up months ahead, and keep Complio current, an expired immunization or a late background check can stall an otherwise-approved placement.
