Checklist of what Chamberlain requires to approve a practicum
What Chamberlain approval requires.

Before your hours can count

  • A signed affiliation agreement between the clinical site and the school
  • Your preceptor and site nominated and approved in Typhon
  • Complio cleared, background check, drug screen, and immunizations, inside the site’s window
  • A preceptor whose license and certification match your course’s scope and population

Why first-submission approval matters

Each item has its own timeline, and a single missing immunization or an unsigned agreement can stall an otherwise-ready placement past your registration date. Getting the package right the first time is the whole game.

What we handle

We assemble the affiliation agreement, file the Typhon application, and track Complio to the site’s deadline, then follow your hours and sign-offs to the full requirement.

Questions

Answered.

What is Typhon?

The system Chamberlain NP students and preceptors use to log practicum hours and document the experience. The site must be approved in it before hours count.

What does Complio cover?

Background check, drug screen, and immunization tracking, completed within the window your clinical site requires.
